1 day Kampala city tour

Uganda’s capital is visited during an all-day Kampala City Tour. With a population of around 1,800,000, Kampala is the country’s largest metropolis. Kampala had been set aside for the Kabaka to use as a hunting place before the British and Arabs arrived in Uganda. The name Kampala (“The hill of the Impala”) derives from the fact that it was home to one of the largest concentrations of impala in the nation. Antelopes thrived in the wetlands, valleys, and undulating hills that made up the landscape. At first, the city was constructed on seven hills (Old Kampala, Kololo, Mengo, Rubaga, Nsambya, Namirembe, and Kibuli), but it has since expanded to encompass more than twenty hills.

The largest industrial and commercial city in Uganda is Kampala. Shopping centers, banks, foreign exchange offices, insurance firms, hotels, dining establishments, casinos, and administrative buildings make up the central business district. Despite the fact that Luganda is the primary language spoken there, a wide variety of Ugandan ethnic groups may be found in the city. English is widely spoken and understood in Kampala.

Because Kampala is the center of activity, social services, and opportunity, people are lured there. Due to its location near the equator, Kampala experiences wonderful, warm weather for the majority of the year. The ideal spot for a foreigner to understand and appreciate the country’s cultural richness is Kampala.
