trekking gorillas in bwindi forest

Your trek may last from 2-6 hours therefore your physical stamina and endurance are greatly required for this experience. The trek for great apes is tiresome but very well rewarded meeting, spending time with, and photographing these giants as you look straight into their brown eyes. This is a lifetime thrill of a wildlife adventure that only Africa can offer

After your 1 hour with the mountain gorillas, you return to the starting point  to have lunch, recharge your energy with a meal, then embark on your journey back to  the briefing point to meet your guide who will drive you back to the lodge for a short  break before heading to the community walks around Batwa tribe

The Batwa are marginalized the indigenous tribe of the Bwindi impenetrable forest and the surrounding area.   The Batwa originally were forest-dwelling hunter-gatherers based in the great lakes region of central Africa and are widely accepted as the original inhabitants of the region but many are now homeless and a good number now live in established communities around the forest.
