The parks are be accessed by either private or public vehicles from Kampala visitors uses masaka- mbarara route which takes about 9 -10 hours however the parks can also be accessed via Rwanda which takes about 5-6 hours.
Chimpanzees tracking.
Chimpanzees tracking is the best attraction every visitors need to include on a bucket list. Chimpanzees are also known as 98% humans. Chimpanzees are located in various parks including kibale national park, Queen Elizabeth national park and Murchison falls national park. Kibale national park is a home of over 5000 chimpanzees which is the highest number of chimpanzees in the world, kyambura gorge and kalinzu forest and budongo forest are also best location for chimpanzee tracking.
Bird waching.
Uganda is a birding paradise for birders. Despite the fact that some bird species are migrate and others are endemic thus making Uganda the birding destination with a total of 1088 confirmed species. Game drive at ZZiwa Rhino sanctuary takes about 2-3 hours and can be morning hour drive or afternoon drive. During the game drive, visitors are advised to be careful with these rhinos are dangerous mammals and advised to remove flash lights as they take photos of them.
Murchison falls.
Uganda is the only best destination with the most powerful falls in the world that is Murchison falls. Murchison falls is located in western part of Uganda in Murchison falls national park. Murchison Falls is a fantastic spectacle with water violently crashing through the narrow, rocky gorge. The falls ejects water from the Victoria Nile River through a 6 meter wide chute, which cascades down 30 meters to the Nile River. Because of the spray of water, you can see a constant rainbow over the falls adding to the spectacle of this must-visit Ugandan attraction.
Lion climbing trees.
Queen Elizabeth national park is the only park in Uganda with lion climbing trees. The park is highly visited because of various attractions like game drive, bird watching, chimpanzee tracking, nature walks, culture encounters and many more. Lion climbing trees are spotted along Ishasha sector in western part of Uganda.
During the game drive in ishasha, visitors are advised to use tourist vehicles as they search lions in trees. These lions climb trees because they want to spot the preys, they are escaping away from flies, they are searching for shed and many more.
Golden monkey tracking.
The golden monkeys are a fantastic group of primates to see in the wild and can be encountered on guided treks through the forest. There are a couple of different areas to find the monkeys, but the best place to track the monkeys in Uganda is the Mgahinga National Park at the foot of the Virunga Mountains.
The monkeys enjoy hanging around the stands of bamboo forest within these protected areas and the monkeys are now used to people, which means they’re more easily observed. Trackers are advised to pack cameras, comfortable hiking boots, water &snacks, hiking sticks, binoculars, rain coat, long trousers, long t-shirts and many more. The activity may take full day or full day searching for golden monkeys but it is worthy it.
Game driving.
Game drive is one of the highlight activities that many have been attracted to explore Uganda the pearl of Africa. Game drive takes about 2-3 hours searching for mammals in savannah parks. Some of the mammals spotted include elephants, buffalos, giraffes, lions, leopards, hippos, warthogs, water bucks, rhinos, mongoose, zebras, and many more.
Boat cruise
Despite the fact Uganda the pearl of Africa is covered with water bodies, it makes it the best destination for boat cruise. Boat cruise can be morning hours or after noon hours depending on the itinerary. The activity takes about 2-3 hours and visitors may enjoy it more by practicing sports fishing.
